A flexible platform for generating synthetic virus to
control infectious diseases
This project is part of La Caixa grant aiming at creating a flexible platform for generating robust synthetic viruses with desirable and specific antibacterial properties prompt to be used at the patient-bed site. The generation of synthetic viruses with altered tail-associated depolymerases with enable the generation of novel antibacterial agents with tunable host ranges.
We provide free access to a database of phages encoding depolymerases (PhageKDB) and a user-friendly free software to identify depolymerases in phages’ genomes (Phage DPO). We welcome you to be part of Fitted and contribute to our database! Click Here
